Finder Toolbars
Customising your Finder Windows
This is a quickie, but a real time saver as well. When you open a finder window, you will see a toolbar on the top, with standard buttons. These let you browse your files, change the view for browsing, and so on. But, there is more you can put into this toolbar that can save you lots of time.
What to do:
First, put your mouse anywhere in the toolbar, and right click. Choose “Customize”.

You should now see a window like this:

From this customize window, you can drag different buttons onto the toolbar, wherever you need to. For example, you can put an eject button on the toolbar, if you are listening to lots of CD’s on your Mac.
Remember, the idea is not to clog up the toolbar with lots of buttons, but instead, to look at the buttons which might save you time, and to put those in the toolbar.
