Say it with words…
Adding style to your pages
In your day to day activities, you may have the need to “jazz” up your text, be it a leaflet, a poster, or a book your writing.
Adding a font
One instant (and very easy) way of adding style to your page is to get a new font. By far the easiest way to do this is to visit dafont.com. The site is organised into categories so that you can choose a font that will suit your needs. Once you have found a font (most on the site are free), you can simply download it.

All that needs to be done now is to find the font and to double click it. Note, that a lot of fonts on this site are in a .zip file, which you may have to double click (to unzip it) and then you can double click on the font file.

Once double clicked, you can click on the “Install Font” button, which will install the font on your Mac.

You can then see your Font in the Font Book program. The font is now available to all your normal programs to use in your work.
This is by far one of the best ways to get boost your work’s eye-catchyness! A word of warning. My students when learning how easy it is to install fonts, will proceed to install hundreds of fonts on their computers. This will only result in your Mac starting slowly and being sluggish. A handful of fonts will not do any harm. On the contrary!
